New Outlet Installation. Power in exactly the right spot.

Need additional power outlets or are you missing an outlet somewhere really important? We can install an electrical outlet anywhere in your home in exactly the right spot.

Did you know that ungrounded outlets are outlets lacking a ground wire to protect you from electric shock? Ground wires provide safety for you in your home by carrying the current safely away from you and into the ground if there is a short.

If you have small children, you may want to consider “tamper resistant” outlets that prevent the insertion of any device (pen, paper clip, etc.) into the outlet other than an electrical plug. The new outlet now has a special cover and looks like a regular outlet while providing safety and peace of mind.

Electrical Panel Upgrade

Do you have breakers that trip when you are using more power, such as in the summer when your AC runs the most? Depending on the age of your home, your electrical panel may need to be updated. Your electrical panel distributes power coming into your home through circuits that are each protected by a breaker. When a circuit draws too much power, the breaker will trip.

If your home is older, new electronics and appliances may be drawing more power and overloading your existing electrical panel. If that is the case, then the best plan would be to replace your existing electrical panel with a new one capable of meeting modern needs. Keep in mind that hot, buzzing, or constantly tripping breakers are signs of trouble and should be inspected. Overloaded panels could become a fire risk. If your panel is overloaded, you will notice that it becomes hot as a sign of being overloaded. Once an overloaded panel becomes too hot, it may short or burn. Call us today to schedule an appointment to inspect your panel and decide what if any actions are needed to ensure the safety of you and your family.

Fan and Lighting Installation

Want to make your home more comfortable and lower your energy bills? Consider installing a ceiling fan that offers a cool breeze when it’s warmer and will push the warm air down from the ceiling when it is cooler.

It’s important to make sure the electrical box has proper support that can safely hold the weight of your new fan. Even if there is not currently an electrical box in place, we can install a new box, run a new electrical line, and install your new fan all connected to new independent switches controlling the operation of your fan and light.

Smoke Detector Systems

One of the most important but least thought about appliances in your home is your smoke detector. In modern homes, smoke detectors are required in every bedroom, hallway, garage, and basement. What makes them more effective is having them linked together so that if one smoke detector goes off, they all go off alerting you and your family.

In addition to being linked, modern smoke detectors are powered by your home's electrical system and use batteries as a back-up during power outages. With the set-up, the likelihood that your smoke detector will work when needed is greatly improved. Call us today and let us review your options to upgrade your smoke detectors throughout your house.
